Curated by OriginSelect
What is Home Robots?
OriginSelect’s Home Robots hub for the US covers robot lawn mowers and robot window cleaners—wire-free, AWD-capable mowers compared by lawn size, navigation technology (LiDAR, AI Vision, NetRTK), battery capacity and zone support; and window-cleaning robots compared by suction, coverage, navigation and pad-maintenance design. Each guide compares real Amazon.com-available models by the specs that matter, not marketing claims.
Robots are quietly taking over the most tedious parts of home upkeep — mowing the lawn and washing the windows. This hub organizes our US-focused home-robot guides by category, so you can go straight to the comparison that matches the chore you’re ready to hand off.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are robot lawn mowers worth it in the US?
They can be, when the economics are based on time rather than novelty. A robot mower is most compelling for a large or difficult lawn, frequent travel, or an owner who cannot comfortably operate a conventional mower. Budget for more than the machine itself: replacement blades, seasonal storage, and eventual battery replacement.
How do I know which robot mower size I need?
Estimate your actual mowable lawn area—not your total lot size—by subtracting the house footprint, driveway, patio, pool and landscaping beds. Compare that number to each model’s rated maximum lawn area, and prefer some headroom over buying right at the limit.
What is NetRTK on a robot lawn mower?
NetRTK is network-based real-time kinematic positioning, delivered through an internet-connected correction service rather than a physical base station. Manufacturers describe it as improving positioning stability and straight-line mowing accuracy. Not every model in a given lineup includes it—check the exact model, not just the brand.
Do robot window cleaners wash their own cleaning pad?
Only some models do. It's a meaningful feature to check model-by-model rather than assuming every robot in a lineup has it—see our WINBOT W3 OMNI vs W2S OMNI guide for a worked example of how this changes the maintenance workflow.
