Great Horned Owl Stained Glass Mosaic Panel

Description

This handmade stained glass mosaic panel features a majestic Great Horned Owl among pine trees in a forest. It has been created using various shades of transparent and translucent hand-cut stained glass adhered to a pane of clear glass. Hand-painted details of the pine leaves add depth to the image. The mosaic has been permanently mounted in a beautiful repurposed solid wood frame ( 11 1/2" x 14 1/2" measured to the outer edge of the frame) and finished with a beige grout. The panel includes a hanging kit. A glass-on-glass (GOG) mosaic blends the transparency of modern stained glass with the intricacy of mosaics. The result is a detailed artwork that "glows" when light is transmitted through it. The glass artworks look beautiful when backlit by natural light and intended for indoor display. All frames used for these artworks are reclaimed and vintage. Minor signs of age and character such as dings or scratches may be present.
