Flower Garden Stained Glass Mosaic Panel

Description

This gorgeous stained glass panel features a flower garden full of detailed sunflowers along with zinnias, blue anemones, and daisies. The artwork blends stained glass, hand painting, and mosaic techniques into a modern hybrid art form. The artwork has been created using hand-cut stained glass adhered to a solid glass base. The foreground pieces have all been hand-painted to create the illustrative detail of the blooms and foliage. The mosaic is permanently mounted in an upcycled vintage solid wood frame (15 3/8" x 12 3/8" measured to the frame outer edge) and finished with charcoal-colored grout. The mosaic panel comes with a hanging kit. Glass-on-glass (GOG) mosaics blend the transparency of modern stained glass with the intricacy of mosaics. The result is a detailed artwork that "glows" when light is transmitted through it. The glass artworks look beautiful when they are backlit by natural light. Alternatively, they can also be displayed with artificial backlighting. Intended for indoor display. All windows and most frames used for these artworks are vintage.
