Winter Northern Lights Mountain Landscape Stained Glass Mosaic Panel

This handmade stained glass panel features a representation of the northern lights (aurora borealis) with a mountain and a frozen landscape. The mosaic has been created by hand-cutting stained glass, adhering it to a plain glass sheet, and finished with dark-colored grout and hand-painted details on mountains. The mosaic is permanently mounted in a vintage solid wood frame (13 1/2" x 11 1/2" - Measured to the outer edge of the frame.). The panel includes a hanging kit. A glass on glass (GOG) mosaic blends the transparency of modern stained glass with the intricacy of mosaics. The result is a detailed piece of artwork that "glows" when light is transmitted thru it. The glass artworks look beautiful when they are backlit by natural light. Intended for indoor display. All windows and most frames used for these artworks are vintage.
