This handmade original design stained glass mosaic panel features a close-up overhead view of a two honey bees with honeycomb. It is created using hand-cut transparent and translucent stained glass which is adhered to a sheet of clear glass. Hand-painted detail has been applied to the insect wings, and body Once dried the image was then grouted using charcoal-colored grout and permanently mounted in a vintage solid wood frame ( 11" x 14" - measured to frame outer edge). Hanging hardware included. Glass on glass (GOG) mosaics blends the transparency of modern stained glass with the intricacy of mosaics along with hand-painted glass. The result is a detailed piece of artwork that "glows" when light is transmitted through it. The glass artworks look beautiful when they are backlit by natural light.
