Yellow Bearded Iris Stained Glass Mosaic Panel

Description

This gorgeous mosaic stained glass panel features yellow bearded iris blossoms along with green foliage and vibrant blue background. It has been created using hand-cut stained glass adhered to a solid glass base. The foreground pieces have all been hand-painted to create the illustrative detail of the blooms and foliage. The mosaic is permanently mounted in a solid wood frame ( 15 1/4" x 12 1/4"- measured to the outer edge of the frame) and finished with dark-colored grout. The mosaic panel comes with a hanging kit. Glass on glass (GOG) mosaics blends the transparency of modern stained glass with the intricacy of mosaics. The result is an intricate piece of artwork that "glows" when light is transmitted through it. The glass artworks look beautiful when they are backlit by natural light. Alternatively, they can also be displayed with artificial backlighting. Intended for indoor display. All windows and most frames used for these artworks are vintage.
