Blue Star Geometric Stained Glass Mosaic Panel

This gorgeous original geometric design stained glass mosaic panel has been created using hand-cut stained glass in various translucent and transparent shades of blue, along with clear glass nuggets. The hand-cut glass adhered to a sheet of clear glass and was permanently mounted into an upcycled solid wood frame ( 15 1/4" x 12 1/4" measured to the edge of the frame) It was then grouted with dark charcoal grout. Screw eyes have been installed for easy hanging. Glass-on-glass (GOG) mosaics blend the transparency of modern stained glass with the intricacy of mosaics. The result is a detailed piece of artwork that "glows" when light is transmitted thru it. The glass artworks look beautiful when backlit by natural light. Alternatively, they can also be displayed with artificial backlighting. Intended for indoor display only. All windows and most frames used for these artworks are vintage.
