Blue Heron Stained Glass Mosaic Panel

Description

This original stained glass mosaic panel features a majestic blue heron in a lake with a pink and purple sunrise sky. The artwork has been created using hand-cut stained glass adhered to a solid glass base. The mosaic has been finished with dark grey grout and is permanently mounted in a repurposed solid wood frame (16 3/4" x 13 3/4" - measured to frame outer edge). A hanging kit is included. Glass on glass (GOG) mosaics blends the transparency of modern stained glass with the intricacy of mosaics. The result is a detailed piece of artwork that "glows" when light is transmitted through it. The glass artworks look beautiful when they are backlit by natural light. Alternatively, they can also be displayed with artificial backlighting. Intended for indoor display. All windows and most frames used for these artworks are vintage.
