Hummingbird Stained Glass Mosaic Panel

Description

This original design handmade stained glass mosaic panel features a ruby-throated hummingbird visiting pink morning glory flowers. This artwork has been created using hand-cut transparent and translucent stained glass and glass nuggets adhered to a clear glass sheet permanently mounted in an upcycled wooden frame (14 1/2" x 12 1/2"- measured to the outer edge of the frame). The mosaic has been grouted with charcoal-colored grout and includes hand-painted details. Hanging hardware included. Glass-on-glass (GOG) mosaics blend the transparency of modern stained glass with the intricacy of mosaics. The result is a detailed piece of artwork that "glows" when light is transmitted thru it. The glass artworks look beautiful when they are backlit by natural light. Alternatively, they can also be displayed with artificial backlighting. Intended for indoor display. All windows and most frames used for these artworks are vintage. Signs of character in the wood such as scratches or dings may be present.
